USA TODAY's 2026 Women of the Year were celebrated during a special event at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles on March 27, 2026.

Emma Bloomberg, with Monica Richardson, gives remarks at the pre-game reception. The excitement of the event was “palpable,” she said.

“It’s fitting that we are here in California,” Bloomberg said, “because it turns out women’s history month started as women’s history week in California, when a group of women decided it was not ok that schools weren’t teaching women’s history. And they turned that into a national movement."
