'1923' finale: Who lived, who died in Season 2 of 'Yellowstone' prequel? (Spoilers!)

Jacob Dutton (Harrison Ford) survived the big train station shootout in the finale. Jacob took a bullet, but gritted through the injury. At the end of the finale, Jacob retired from ranching.

Cara Dutton (Helen Mirren) held her shotgun and her own defending the Dutton Ranch in the Season 2 finale. Cara started caring for newborn John Dutton.

Pregnant Alex (Julia Schlaepfer) survived her travels and caught up with husband Spencer in Montana. She gave birth to son John Dutton, but died from cold exposure in the finale. Alex was buried at the Dutton Ranch cemetery.

Spencer (Brandon Sklenar) reunited with his wife Alex and killed many baddies in the finale. Jacob's nephew survived the battle and lived for years on the Dutton Ranch. He never remarried after losing Alex.

Sherriff McDowell (Robert Patrick) got shot in the Season 2 finale. But he was still kicking when last seen onscreen, prognosis positive.

Things were never going to go well for family archenemy, Donald Whitfield (Timothy Dalton), the sadistic developer and early downhill skiing visionary. With Jacob at his side, Spencer shot Whitfield dead at his pastry-filled breakfast table in the Season 2 finale.

Banner Creighton (Jerome Flynn) speaks to wife his Ellie Creighton (Sarah Randall). The one-time Dutton foe Banner turned friend. But Banner was shot at the train station. Ellie and her son boarded to start a new life in Oregon.

Spencer's brother Jack Dutton (Spencer Mann) was killed in cold blood in Episode 6.

Elizabeth (Michelle Randolph) found out her husband was Jack killed in the finale. She ended up leaving the ranch for the "big city."

Teonna (Aminah Nieves) survived her own cross-country ordeal, which saw the death of her father and lover. Teonna was caught and arrested, but cleared of all crimes. In the finale, she was seen headed to a new life on the West Coast on a horse.
