SONY PICTURES"Solo: A Star Wars Story," the Han Solo prequel starring Alden Ehrenreich, brought in $213.8 million. It wasn't considered a major success compared to the franchise's previous installments, though making the top 10 most profitable movies of the year should certainly count for something.

Tom Cruise led the summer action flick "Mission: Impossible – Fallout" to a $220.2 million gross.

You're a blockbuster, Mr. Grinch! Bennedict Cumberbatch's new animated "The Grinch" has tallied $253.6 million since hitting theaters at Thanksgiving.
UNIVERSAL AND ILLUMINATIONRyan Reynolds reprised his starring role in "Deadpool 2," which ended up making $318.5 million.

"Jurassic Park" lives on in the Chris Pratt-led "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom." The franchise's latest installment made $416.8 million.

Pixar waited 14 years to make a sequel to "The Incredibles" and it paid off, literally. "Incredibles 2" grossed $608.6 million.
DISNEY/PIXAR
The second-biggest moneymaker in Hollywood this year: Marvel's superhero crossover "Avengers: Infinity War" finished with $678.8 million.
CHUCK ZLOTNICK
Clocking in at No. 1: The highest-grossing movie of 2018 was February's "Black Panther," which brought in a whopping $700.1 million. Wakanda Forever, indeed.
