'Trump, keep making America great': See the final words of 8 people executed

The "Casanova Killer" Glen Rogers' last words were "President Trump, keep making America great ." Rogers, 62, was executed May 15, 2025 by lethal injection for the murder of Tina Marie Cribbs, one of four single mothers in their 30s with reddish hair who fell victim to the Casanova Killer. Rogers was also known as the "Cross Country Killer" because the victims all lived in different states: California, Mississippi, Louisiana and Florida.

Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh 's did not speak his final words, however, he left behind a handwritten final statement which quoted a William Ernest Henley poem, "Invictus" . Its lines include: "My head is bloody, but unbowed" and "I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul." On June 11, 2001, McVeigh was executed after being sentenced to death for the bombing of a federal building in Oklahoma City, a crime that took 168 lives.

Allen, seen with family members the day before his scheduled execution, died at age 76 by lethal injection on Jan. 17, 2006. Allen was serving life in California's Folsom Prison for the 1974 murder of his son's girlfriend, Mary Sue Kitt, who'd reported a robbery Allen committed. During his sentence, Allen solicited assassinations on eight witnesses against him and successfully coerced a paroled inmate to kill three of them: Josephine Rocha, Douglas White Allen and Bryon William Schletewitz. Allen was convicted for those added killings.

As the drug started to take effect, McCarthy said, "God is great," before closing her eyes. McCarthy's execution on June 26, 2013 at age 52 — for the 1997 murder of her 71-year-old neighbor — marked Texas' 500th inmate execution since it resumed carrying out capital punishment in 1982. McCarthy, a former nursing home therapist who became addicted to crack cocaine, was linked to three slayings, although she never stood trial for the other two. McCarthy was the 13th woman put to death in the U.S. and the fourth in Texas

His last words were: "I've fought the good fight, I have run the good race," he said. "Warden, I'm ready to join my father." Rodriguez confessed to the killings of 29-year-old Summer Baldwin and 16-year-old Joanna Rogers. Aileen Wuornos’s final words before her Oct. 9, 2002 execution by lethal injection in Florida: "I'd just like to say, I'm sailing with the rock, and I'll be back, like Independence Day, with Jesus, June 6th. Like the movie, big mothership and all. I'll be back." Wuornos was linked to the murders of seven men when she was a sex worker on Florida’s highways. Wuornos, who claimed self-defense, was ultimately convicted for the 1989 shooting murder of a Clearwater businessman .
