Deb Haaland returns to New Mexico politics with governor campaign

Gubernatorial candidate Deb Haaland attended the meeting in Sunland Park, New Mexico to hear concerns and voice her opinions on the future of the area on March 23, 2026. Deb Haaland, is the first Native American US Cabinet secretary, of the Interior, and is a 35th-generation New Mexican from the Pueblo of Laguna. She is running for governor in New Mexico.
