On the inside, all that's included is the Home Hub, the large power cord and a very brief instruction manual

The manual is so short, all consumers are told is to plug it in and get the Google Home app.

Once you plug in the Home Hub, the unit won't do anything until it's paired with the Google Home smartphone app.

In setup, users can choose which music services they want to use with the Home Hub. The choices include Google owned YouTube Music, Google Play Music, and Spotify, Pandora and Deezer.

Users of the Home Hub can choose which video service they'd like to use. Choices include CBS All-Access, HBO Now, Starz, Viki and Netflix.

Ambient Mode plays photos from your library, or curated artwork.

In Google Photos, you can choose to view recent highlights or specific albums created for display on the Home Hub.

The Ambient EQ Light Sensor adjusts the screen brightness to blend into the room.

Now that the Home Hub has been set up, Google offers tips on things you can do with it.
