ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Sophie Adenot is tethered to the International Space Station during a Sept. 1, 2026 spacewalk. Adenot participated in a six‑hour and 49‑minute spacewalk with station commander Jessica Meir of NASA, installing a spacecraft navigation aid, swabbing the station’s exterior for microorganisms and preparing a cosmic particle detector for future upgrades.
