Since joining USA TODAY in 1990, Mike Snider has covered a wide variety of subjects including business, entertainment, health, medicine, science and technology. In 2010, he shared an Eppy Award for the creation and curation of the Game Hunters blog. He has also regularly contributed to the News and Sports sections. Previously, he was a general assignment reporter at the Sioux Falls Argus Leader where he won awards for breaking news coverage. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from the University of Kansas.
