A veteran journalist of more than 20 years, he has led complex sports investigations, enterprise reporting and college and professional sports coverage as executive editor at the Indianapolis Star and Fort Collins Coloradoan, where he also oversaw USA TODAY Network newsrooms elsewhere in Colorado, New Mexico, Minnesota and South Dakota. Larsen has led award-winning sports, government accountability and enterprise reporting, winning multiple national and state-level awards for his teams' journalism.
Larsen is a native of Astoria, Ore., and a 2003 graduate of Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science. He, his wife and three children enjoy exploring the outdoors from their home in Fort Collins, Colo.
