Because of coronavirus, many parents are working from home and most schools are closed for the foreseeable future. With families sequestered together, daily schedules have been thrown out the window.

Celebrities like Jennifer Garner, Betty White and Jimmy Fallon are here to save the day, or at least several minutes of a busy parent's day. Actors, comics and authors are reading to and entertaining children online and on social media, hoping to give parents some respite. When a little one asks for it to be read again, you just need to hit refresh.

We’ve rounded up a few places for families to gather around for story time:

Storyline Online

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation (SAG-AFTRA) created the children's literacy website storylineonline.net which features videos of actors reading children’s books alongside produced illustrations. Each book has a recommended grade level and activity guides.

Among the readers: Betty White reading “Harry the Dirty Dog,” author Jannell Cannon reading her book “Stellaluna” and Rose Byrne reading “The Tale of Peter Rabbit.”

Save With Stories

Save With Stories, in partnership with Save the Children and No Kid Hungry, is offering stories on Instagram and Facebook, both at @savewithstories. The Instagram page also directs parents to Save the Children to donate money toward school and community programs that are feeding children who have been impacted by coronavirus.

Among the readers: Jimmy Fallon reading his book "This Is Baby," Demi Lovato reading “The Gruffalo,” Jennifer Garner reading “Three Little Fish and the Big Bad Shark” and Lupita Nyong'o reading "Not Quite Narwhal."

Operation Storytime

Search the hashtag #OperationStoryTime on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube to find authors, illustrators and others sharing story time with children.

Among the readers: Author and illustrator Eric Carle reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar," Molly Idle reading “Pearl" and illustrator Sophie Blackall reading "Ivy and Bean."
