Ariana Grande's signature high-pony hit the Golden Globes red carpet Sunday with a decidedly different hue.

The pop star, nominated for her portrayal of good witch Galinda in "Wicked" ditched her bleached 'do for a more honey-brown look. Reminiscent of her pre-"Wicked" look, the dye job represents a departure from the aesthetics of the press tour, which became a story in their own right.

In a 1960s pale yellow Givenchy gown paired with long white gloves and Swarovski crystals, Grande's look brought strong Princess Belle vibes, while her co-star Cynthia Erivo opted for a similarly glitzy black-and-white look.

Whether Grande's new hair color is here to stay is unclear.

The icy blonde of Galinda will have to return eventually (at least on the silver screen) as Erivo and Grande reunite for part two of the movie musical, set to premiere in November.

"Wicked" is nominated for several awards at the Globes, including best musical or comedy. USA TODAY's movie critic Brian Truitt cites "Wicked" as the favorite in the category, but argues "The Substance," a dark comedy starring Demi Moore, should win instead.

"This type of recognition is not something that you expect," Grande told E! of her nomination for best supporting actress. She is up against fellow singer-turned-actress Selena Gomez for her role in "Emilia Pérez."

Emma Stone pixie cut shocks at Golden Globes

Emma Stone also hit the red carpet with a new hairdo, sporting a light brown pixie cut.

The dramatic chop was paired with a bright red belted gown. Known for her auburn locks, the "Poor Things" actress has previously transformed her appearance for roles.

Not nominated herself tonight, Stone is attending the awards in support of her "Kinds of Kindness" co-star, Jesse Plemons, nominated for his role in the film.

Plemons is nominated for best actor, an award he has already nabbed this season at Cannes.

Sunday night's ceremony kicks off at 8 p.m. ET, with Nikki Glaser as the master of ceremonies and Viola Davis set to receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award, a lifetime achievement honor doled out yearly at the show.
