Cardi B pregnant, expecting baby with NFL boyfriend Stefon Diggs

Updated Sept. 17, 2025, 11:22 a.m. ET

Cardi B is pregnant with baby No. 4, the rapper announced in a "CBS Mornings" interview.

The "Up" rapper opened up about her pregnancy in an interview with Gayle King ahead of the Friday, Sept. 19, release of her highly anticipated second album, "Am I The Drama?" and a recently announced arena tour.

"I'm having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs," Cardi told King in an interview released Wednesday, Sept. 17. The rapper and New England Patriots wide receiver first made their relationship public earlier this year.

The New York City native said the baby is due before her Little Miss Drama Tour kicks off in February.

"I feel like I'm in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I'm doing all this work," she added. "But I'm doing all this work while I'm creating a baby, and me and my man, we're very supportive of each other."

Her pregnancy follows a much-publicized and tumultuous breakup with her ex and father of her three children, rapper Offset. The former couple share daughters Kulture and Blossom, and son Wave.

NFL Player Stefon Diggs, right, and rapper Cardi B celebrate after Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round NBA Playoffs between the Boston Celtics and the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on May 12, 2025, in New York City.

Reflecting on her relationship with Diggs, she said she was reluctant to fall in love again but that the NFL star makes her feel secure. Her new album includes a track called "Safe."

"He just makes me feel safe and very confident and very strong," she said. "I mean, two weeks ago I was literally having a panic attack. I was crying and crying and crying, just because I was just getting really nervous with the whole album rollout … People were coming at me very hard. Sometimes people love you, people hate you. And people was just saying very mean things about me."

The announcement also comes after weeks of fan speculation. The "WAP" rapper said she wanted to reveal the pregnancy until she could "close some deals." She joked that she has yet to tell her parents because she is "scared of them."

With another baby on the way, Cardi also doubled down on her humorous album rollout.

"Now y'all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers and all that type of stuff," she said. "I told you. Now go support my album, 'cause I'm a mother of four now."
