Jessica Simpson reveals she's 'into younger men' post-Eric Johnson separation
Anna KaufmanMonths after her breakup from former NFL player Eric Johnson, Jessica Simpson is revealing a new dating philosophy.
The reality star, 45, who shared three children with Johnson, 46, told Extra in a new interview that she's interested in dating men outside her age range.
"I think I'm into younger men at the moment," Simpson revealed to the outlet in an Oct. 16 interview. "When you're newly separated… I feel like younger guys kinda like the confidence of an older woman, I'm discovering."

"I am having fun!" she added.
Simpson and Johnson, who were married for a decade, separated in January, Simpson's reps confirmed in a statement to USA TODAY at the time.
"Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage," she said. "Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family."
The singer and the ex-NFL tight end were first married in July 2014 and share daughter Maxwell Drew, 13; son Ace Knute, 12; and daughter Birdie Mae, 6.
The fashion designer was previously married to 98 Degrees member Nick Lachey, from 2002 to 2006. Their marriage was documented on the 2003-2005 MTV reality show "Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica."
