Sean Swayze, Patrick Swayze's younger brother, dies at 63

Sean Kyle Swayze, the younger brother of actor Patrick Swayze, died nearly a month ago at the age of 63.
Sean Swayze died Dec. 15, his son Jesse Swayze confirmed to TMZ in a story published Wednesday, Jan. 7.
According to a death certificate obtained by TMZ and People, his cause of death was an acute upper gastrointestinal bleed, caused by alcoholic liver cirrhosis, esophageal varices and severe metabolic acidosis. Cirrhosis of the liver is a late stage of liver disease commonly caused by long-term, heavy alcohol use, according to the Cleveland Clinic.
USA TODAY has reached out to the Los Angeles Medical Examiner for comment.
Sean Swayze, a Houston native, was an entertainment Teamster – a member of the Teamsters Union including truck drivers and chauffeurs – according to People.
He is survived by his children – Jesse, Kyle and Cassie Swayze – his actor brother Don Swayze and sister Bambi Swayze, a dancer. His "Dirty Dancing" star brother Patrick Swayze died from pancreatic cancer in 2009 at the age of 57, and his sister Vickie Lynn Swayze, a performance artist, died by suicide in 1994 at the age of 45.
