Denise Richards is opening up about a "night and day" transformation, thanks to a recent facelift.

The former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star revealed in a new interview with Allure that she underwent the procedure eight months ago, and she was worried at first about what people would think if it went wrong.

"I wanted to put things back up, where they were before," she told the outlet. "I was terrified." A longtime Hollywood fixture, Richards appeared in a series of films from the late '90s to the mid-2000s, before transitioning to reality stardom.

"Being in the public eye since my 20s, people know what I look like − a facelift is not something that I could hide," she continued. While Richards got a breast augmentation in her late teens, and then later had a revision surgery, this was her first major cosmetic operation for her face.

"It is night and day," she said of the facelift. "It's shocking, actually."

Richards added that after she was done with the procedure, other A-listers "were more comfortable telling me about theirs, but I'm not gonna name names … it's not just serums and working out and lasers."

"Going through my divorce, my ex disclosed that I'd had a facelift. He had a photographer show up outside an appointment where I had some microneedling on my scars," she continued. "So [my ex] told someone that I had a facelift, and said it was botched, which is really ridiculous."

Richards has been married to businessman Aaron Phypers since 2018. Phypers reportedly filed for divorce in early July, citing "irreconcilable differences" and requesting spousal support from Richards.

She has since requested a restraining order against him, alleging he was physically and emotionally abusive. He has denied the allegations.
