Whitney Cummings pokes fun at FBI Director Kash Patel's email leaks
Anna KaufmanWhitney Cummings is using her guest-hosting stint on "The View" to wade into politics.
The comedian and actress, 43, laid into FBI Director Kash Patel during the Monday, March 30 broadcast, poking fun at reports that his personal emails were hacked.
"I mean, if Kash wanted his emails not to get released, he should have just CC'ed Jeffrey Epstein on them," Cummings quipped during the show, referring to a cache of emails that have been redacted or yet to be released from the estate of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The joke got a hearty laugh from the audience and a note of approval from co-hosts Sunny Hostin, who said "correct," and Whoopi Goldberg, who added, "well said."

Cummings is one of several guest hosts slated to help fill in for series regular Alyssa Farah Griffin, who welcomed a baby earlier this year. ABC has not yet announced when Griffin, the show's current conservative commentator and former Trump White House staffer, will return from maternity leave.
Cummings will appear on "The View" for the full week, joining Goldberg, Hostin, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Ana Navarro. Previous guest-panelists include Savannah Chrisley and Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Cummings, a stand-up comic known for the sitcom "2 Broke Girls" and her appearance at several Comedy Central roasts, has courted controversy in recent years for her participation in Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Comedy Festival, which was critiqued by some over the country's strict censorship rules, and for a joke some perceived as transphobic.
