Who won Season 14 of 'The Masked Singer'? Winner tells all
Anna Kaufman"The Masked Singer" has declared a winner.
The reality series on Fox, which sees celebrity contestants don over-the-top disguises and compete karaoke-style, crowned it's champion Wednesday, April 1. Galaxy Girl (contestants are given names to match their disguises) nabbed the Golden Mask trophy, wowing judges Rita Ora, Jenny McCarthy, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong with performances of "Good 4 U" by Olivia Rodrigo and "Try" by Pink.
So, who was behind the mask? Ashlee Simpson Ross, an actress and singer, and the sister of reality star Jessica Simpson.

Ross' identity was correctly guessed by all four judges after Jessica Simpson appeared in a video message as the last clue, giving a subtle nod to her sister's 2004 debut album "Autobiography."
"It felt so good. I had no idea that I was going to get so into this competition and so competitive. I was having the time of my life," Simpson said in an interview with People discussing her win. "The second they said I won, I dropped to my knees, because I didn't expect it. So it was really fun."

Simpson also said having her famous family there to support her helped push her through, even through the difficulty of long rehearsals under a heavy costume.
"Just to have her there rooting me on was really exciting. And my daughter was there as well, so that was fun," she said of sister Jessica as well as her daughter, one of two children she shares with fellow musician Evan Ross. Rossalso competed on this season of "Masked Singer," but was eliminated during Week 10. "He was amazing," Simpson said. "And it's actually funny, we weren't allowed to see each other at all. There are major rules."
She also told People that her mother-in-law, Diana Ross, is tuning in. "She's watching. Evan is sending videos, and [she's] watching her son. He killed it. His vocals were amazing," she told the outlet.

Ross' "Masked Singer" win comes ahead of headlining performances at Stagecoach and OUTLOUD Music Festival, and in the wake of a Las Vegas residency.
"This has felt amazing. Performing is my happy place, and to be doing that again just feels so nice. I'm inspired to keep playing shows and creating new music," she said.
