Prince William and Princess Kate are marking 15 years of marriage.

The British royals, who married in a historic 2011 wedding, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary with a candid family photo. "Celebrating 15 years of marriage ❤️," the couple captioned the photo, shared on social media, featuring Will and Kate tucked snuggly amongst their children Prince George, 12, Prince Louis, newly 8, and Princess Charlotte, 10.

The royal family is seen lying side-by-side in a grassy meadow with their dogs, Orla, an English black cocker spaniel, and a recent addition to the family, a cocker spaniel puppy from Orla's litter. The family smiles while dressed casually and barefoot, squinting from the sun's rays. Followers quickly offered their congrats on the milestone in the comments.

Millions looked on as Britain's future king and queen wed on April 29, 2011, at Westminster Abbey in London, defining a new era for the monarchy.

Interest in the couple has remained steady leading up to and following their nuptials, as they have balanced royal duties in the public eye. The couple also became parents, welcoming George in 2013, Charlotte in 2015 and their youngest child, Louis, in 2018. The pair has also gone through Kate's cancer battle together.

Princess Kate and Prince William attend a ceremonial welcome at Windsor Castle on the first day of state visit by the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on March 18, 2026, in Windsor, England.

To celebrate their 14th wedding anniversary, the couple – who met at Scotland's University of St Andrews in the early 2000s – returned to the country for a two-day visit and work trip to the Isles of Mull and Iona. Their 15th anniversary is expected to be a lower-key celebration, as all eyes are on King Charles III and Queen Camilla, who are visiting the United States for the first time since ascending to the throne.

The monarchs have made the journey from the United Kingdom to the U.S. for a state visit in Washington, D.C., through Thursday, April 30. The king and queen consort are in the U.S. for four days to help build relations between their countries.
