Beyoncé has arrived at the 2026 Met Gala, making a grand entrance with husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy Carter.

The Grammy-winning singer graced the red carpet with her family at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's 2026 spring exhibition on May 4, where the theme was "Costume Art" and the dress code was "Fashion Is Art."

She donned a bedazzled, silver skeleton-like gown by French designer Olivier Rousteing, a feathery coat and a matching sparkling headpiece. Blue Ivy stunned in a long cream Balenciaga gown, a matching jacket and shades. Jay-Z opted for a classic black tuxedo with a vest.

Beyoncé appeared not only as a guest but also as a 2026 Met Gala co-chair along with Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams and longtime organizer Anna Wintour.

This year marks Beyoncé's first Met Gala appearance in a decade. She last appeared in 2016 for the "Manus x Machina" gala, donning a nude-colored Givenchy Haute Couture dress.

The appearance is her eighth time attending the Met Gala since making her debut in 2008. She's also appeared in 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Many of those years, she's opted for Givenchy at the hands of designer Riccardo Tisci.

This is the first time Beyoncé's daughter has appeared at the Met Gala.

Jay-Z last appeared at the Met Gala in 2015 alongside Beyoncé for the "China: Through the Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala.

Most notably, he attended the high-fashion event in 2014 where the infamous "elevator incident" took place at the Standard Hotel following a Met Gala afterparty. Leaked surveillance footage showed a physical altercation between Jay-Z and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles, who also attended the gala the same year. The elevator altercation drew widespread attention to the family and would eventually help birth some of the most critically acclaimed music in recent history.
