From the Italian coast to the New York Met, Mrs. Bezos is becoming a seasoned fashionista.

Lauren Sánchez Bezos, wife of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, turned heads at the 2026 Met Gala on Monday, May 4. The former journalist, who's co-sponsoring the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Costume Art" exhibit with her billionaire husband, also serves as an honorary co-chair for the annual gala, which raises funds for the museum's Costume Institute.

Sánchez Bezos, 56, opted for understated elegance in a strapless navy blue gown by Daniel Roseberry of Schiaparelli.

The high-profile couple got married in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy, last summer, with a who's-who of A-listers on the exclusive guest list, from Oprah Winfrey and the Kardashian-Jenner family to Leonardo DiCaprio, Usher and Sydney Sweeney.

Sánchez Bezos wore an all-white Dolce & Gabbana silhouette gown with a high neck, adorned with 180 silk chiffon-covered priest buttons and a tulle-and-lace veil. The marital frock was inspired by a dress that Italian actress Sophia Loren wore in the 1958 film "Houseboat," according to Vogue.

They also scored an exclusive invite to the 2025 inauguration of President Donald Trump for his second term. Sánchez Bezos stunned in a daring white pantsuit with an exposed lacy detail underneath the blazer. Months later, the author headed to space on her then-fiancé's Blue Origin exploration flight with Katy Perry, Gayle King and others.

Sánchez Bezos opened up about getting involved with the Met Gala during a March 3 appearance on the "Today" show.

"It has been such a fun and meaningful experience," Sánchez Bezos told "Today" host Craig Melvin. "When Anna called me and said, 'Do you want to co-chair and also be the sponsors of the Met?' I was so honored."

After the Bezos' selection as honorary co-chairs sparked some backlash, given the couple's wealthy status and Jeff Bezos' proximity to President Trump, Met Gala leader Anna Wintour gave her seal of approval in a November interview with CNN.

"I think Lauren is going to be a wonderful asset to the museum and to the event," Wintour told the outlet. "[I'm] very grateful for her incredible generosity, and she's a great lover of costume and obviously of fashion, so we're thrilled she's part of the night."
