Nick Lachey reveals details on flight run-in with Jessica Simpson

A family flight to Hawaii resulted in an unexpected meet-up between exes Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson.

During a May 13 appearance on "What What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," Lachey said running into his ex-wife while on the flight in April was "strangely OK."

"We hadn't seen each other in ... 20 years and then spent six-and-a-half hours on a flight to Hawaii together," Lachey told Cohen. "But when I say spent, in the same vicinity. Everyone was very, very cordial, very respectful."

Lachey was aboard the flight with his wife Vanessa Lachey and their children, the singer said. Simpson was seated next to her mother.

People previously reported that the two ran into each other on the flight to Hawaii in April.
