Princess Diana's brother Charles Spencer marries Cat Jarman
Melina KhanCharles Spencer, the younger brother of Princess Diana, has married archaeologist Cat Jarman.
The 9th Earl Spencer and Jarman wed in Arizona on May 15, they confirmed to People and The Times.
"We both feel so incredibly lucky to have progressed from being colleagues, to friendship, to deep love and connection," they told the outlets in a statement. "Each stage of our relationship has been underpinned by laughter and we share a passion for life."
The couple reportedly met in 2021 while filming a special on the history of the Althorp House, the Spencer family's estate.
Spencer, 61, who is an author and journalist, confirmed he was dating Jarman in 2024 after separating from his then-wife, Karen Spencer.

She is an an honorary senior research associate at the University of Bristol and earned a doctorate degree in archaeology at the same university. She has also individually written two books.
Spencer and Jarman cohosted a podcast, "Rabbit Hole Detectives," from 2023 to 2025. Alongside their third cohost, the Rev. Richard Coles, Spencer and Jarman also co-authored "The Rabbit Hole Book," which was published in 2024.

Spencer announced his divorce from his third wife, Karen Spencer, in 2024. The couple had been married since 2011.
Jarman and Karen Spencer were previously embroiled in legal proceedings after the archeologist sued the countess in 2024, People and The Times reported.
According to the outlets, Jarman alleged that Karen Spencer misused private information by telling people about her multiple sclerosis diagnosis.
The two settled the case without admission of wrongdoing in December 2025, according to the outlets.
