May 24, 2026, 4:41 p.m. ET

Princess Diana's nieces Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer made the Cannes Film Festival their own personal runway.

The 33-year-old models, both wearing floor-length Zuhair Murad gowns, arrived at the star-studded French Riviera event on May 21 for the red carpet premiere of the Belgian film "Coward." Amelia donned a piece from the fashion house's fall 2026 collection: a blush-colored, beaded dress with a high-neck halter style.

Meanwhile, rosé wine label founder Eliza wore a black mermaid gown with a similar shoulder-baring high neckline and beaded embroidery – a design from Zuhair Murad's pre-fall 2026 collection.

Lady Amelia Spencer and Lady Eliza Spencer attend the "Coward" screening during the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals on May 21, 2026, in Cannes, France.

This is one of the more higher-profile events the twins have attended since their father, Charles Spencer, married archaeologist Cat Jarman on May 15. The ninth Earl Spencer, the younger brother of Princess Diana, has been married three times prior, including to Amelia and Eliza's mother, Victoria Aitken.

Spencer has five other children from his marriages, including Eliza and Amelia's older sister, Lady Kitty Spencer, and younger brother, Louis Spencer. They are cousins to Diana's sons with King Charles III, Prince William and Prince Harry.

Princess Diana died at 36 following a car crash in Paris; she would have turned 65 in July. In the early morning hours of Aug. 31, 1997, a car that Princess Diana and her boyfriend, Egyptian filmmaker Dodi Al-Fayed, were traveling in with her bodyguard, Trevor Rees-Jones, crashed into another vehicle and a pillar inside Paris' Pont de l'Alma tunnel.

Fayed and Henri Paul, the driver – who was found to be intoxicated at the time of the accident – died at the scene, while the princess of Wales died from her injuries several hours later in a hospital.

At the time of her death, Prince William was 15 years old and Prince Harry was 12.
