Teddi Mellencamp reveals emotional health update on cancer battle
Melina KhanTeddi Mellencamp has reached a major milestone in her cancer battle.
In a June 2 Instagram post, the former "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star revealed that she is currently in remission.
After taking fans along to a series of appointments, Mellencamp posted a video of her doctor explaining the status of her disease.
"You've had a complete response to therapy. Does that mean you're in remission? Yes," Dr. Omid Hamid explained in the video, adding that remission is a "nebulous word."
Mellencamp was diagnosed with melanoma in 2022. Last year, she revealed the stage 4 cancer had metastasized to her lungs and brain.

Despite the latest positive update, Mellencamp, who is the daughter of musician John Mellencamp, said she still has another year of immunotherapy treatments to go.
"The past 12 hours have been a whirlwind of emotions. But there’s one word I have never been happier to hear," she wrote on Instagram.
Teddi Mellencamp's latest cancer scans show 'no evidence' of tumors, doctor says
Hamid said in the video that Mellencamp's latest scans "show no evidence" of tumors in her body.

"When you came, you had tumors in your brain and in your lungs. We don't see those now," he said, adding that the 44 year old responded well to immunotherapy treatments.
He continued: "You had the best outcome we could hope for. We're dealing with some of the side effects of the therapy that you've had as we move forward. The longer that you remain in this state, the better it is for you."
Immunotherapy is a type of cancer treatment that uses substances made by the body or a lab to help the immune system find and attack cancer cells, according to the American Cancer Society.
In October 2025, Mellencamp said there was "no detectable cancer" in her body, but said at the time that she was "not considered in remission or anything like that."
After meeting with her doctor, Mellencamp went to get her skin checked, she said in a subsequent video.
"This is where it all started. So this is also a reminder you guys, go get your skin checks," she said.
Several fellow "Real Housewives" stars sent well wishes to Mellencamp on social media in response to her update.
"Love you Ted! SO happy!!!" Kyle Richards wrote.
"Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Melissa Gorga said, "Sending you all my love and strength."
Teddi Mellencamp says she has 'raging anxiety' over cancer treatment
In another video Mellencamp shared from the night before her appointments, she got emotional while talking about her treatments.
The podcast host said she has been getting immunotherapy, CAT scans and MRI imaging monthly, until recently.
"This past time, they decided they're going to wait three to four months in between the test," she said. "This has created such a nervous raging anxiety inside of me."
She also broke down while opening up about the emotional strain of the process.
"I wanna be like those people that just say they're positive all the time, but I'm really scared," Mellencamp said. "It's also like really lonely guys and I've just hit that point where I'm just like exhausted."
