Jelly Roll insists 'nobody cheated' amid divorce from Bunnie Xo
"I love you, baby," Jelly Roll said onstage, breaking his silence about the shocking news of his divorce from Bunnie Xo, his wife of nearly a decade.
Patrick RyanJelly Roll has some things to get off his chest about his divorce.
News broke on Monday, June 15, that the “Son of a Sinner” singer – whose real name is Jason DeFord – had filed for divorce from his podcaster wife, Bunnie Xo, whose real name is Alisa DeFord. Court documents were filed May 18, according to records reviewed by USA TODAY.
At his concert on Thursday, June 18, in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Jelly Roll stopped the show to voice his support for Bunnie amid their split.
“I wasn't gonna talk about this tonight, but while we're talking about liars, the internet is a liar, too,” Jelly Roll said onstage. “It's the only time and the only city I'm going to speak about this, so break your camera phones out now.”

Jelly Roll says 'nobody cheated on nobody' amid divorce from Bunny Xo
As seen in videos captured during the concert, the three-time Grammy winner tells the crowd that he only has love for his partner of nearly a decade.
“Me and my wife are best friends,” Jelly Roll said. “We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today.
“Nobody cheated on nobody,” he continued. “She just did a whole podcast about it. Every word of it is the truth. That will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it. Bunnie, I love you, baby.”
Jelly Roll, 41, concluded by saying: “Thank you for those 10 years. They were incredible. Thank you for the next 10 years of friendship and 20 beyond that.”
According to a divorce filing obtained by the USA TODAY Network, the couple separated on May 9.

Bunnie, 46, was similarly affectionate in a June 18 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, saying that she and her husband are "still having a baby together" as planned through in vitro fertilization as they settle their divorce.
"So, we have been the most unconventional couple that you guys have ever encountered," Bunnie said. "We're going to co-parent together. J is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think this is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It's literally just we served our purpose for each other."
