Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci dress as 'Devil Wears Prada' characters at fashion show
Welcome back Miranda Priestly.
Meryl Streep once again embodied her fierce character in "The Devil Wears Prada" alongside costar Stanley Tucci in Italy during Milan Fashion Week on Saturday, Sept. 27.
The two seemingly dressed as their characters from the 2006 cult classic while sitting front row at the Dolce & Gabbana spring/summer 2026 collection show. Streep donned a tan vinyl trench coat with sunglasses from Tiffany & Co while Tucci wore a sleek gray suit with dark shades.
The modish appearances come as the stars recently reprised their roles as fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly and art director Nigel in "The Devil Wears Prada 2."
Slated for a May 2026 release, the sequel also includes the return of Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt and welcomes newcomers Lucy Liu and Justin Theroux to the franchise, according to Variety and People.
Also present at the show was longtime Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, who stepped down from her role at the magazine in June after around 37 years. No longer serving as the outlet's editor, she is now Condé Nast’s chief content officer and Vogue's global editorial director. The fashion mogul has long been considered the inspiration for Streep's demanding and elegant character in the film.
On Dec. 1, she addressed comparisons between herself and the fictional editor, telling the BBC it's "for the audience and for the people I work with to decide if there are any similarities between me and Miranda Priestly."
