Meet the Beatles!

The first photos of Paul Mescal, Harris Dickinson, Joseph Quinn and Barry Keoghan in character as the Fab Four in the upcoming Beatles biopics have arrived.

The pictures were revealed in an unconventional way, befitting a project that looks set to be an unprecedented cinematic experiment.

The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, which was cofounded by Paul McCartney, took to Instagram on Jan. 29 to reveal it was "given exclusive postcards promoting the new Beatles movies," which were hidden around the school for students to find.

Each of the postcards featured a photo of one of the four Beatles in the movie. In the school's post, a look at Mescal as McCartney took focus, but the Instagram account also shared snaps of students holding up cards for the other three Beatles: Dickinson as John Lennon, Quinn as George Harrison and Keoghan as Ringo Starr.

Barry Keoghan Ringo Starr hair makes red carpet debut

In a bit of synergy with the photo reveal, Keoghan stepped out on a red carpet for the film "Crime 101" in London on Wednesday, Jan. 28, sporting mop-top hair like Starr's.

The Beatles' biopics are described as a "four-film cinematic event," with four separate movies about the iconic band set to hit theaters in April 2028, marking a highly unusual instance of multiple interconnected films being released simultaneously. Each movie will center on one member of the band and be told from that person's "distinct point of view," according to Sony.

Barry Keoghan attends a screening of "Crime 101" at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Jan. 28, 2026 in London, England.

Sam Mendes, the Oscar-winning filmmaker behind "1917" and "American Beauty," is directing all four films, which previously revealed their main stars.

Beatles movie casting: Who's in the biopics?

In addition to the Fab Four, the cast also includes Mia McKenna-Bruce as Starr's first wife Maureen Starkey; Saoirse Ronan will play McCartney's wife, Linda; Anna Sawai is playing Lennon's wife Yoko Ono; and Aimee Lou Wood will star as Harrison's wife, Pattie Boyd.

Mescal, coming off his role in the Oscar-nominated film "Hamnet," previously teased that he would spend the rest of the year focused on shooting the "Beatles" movies.

"The world hopefully will benefit from knowing as little as possible going into it," he told Variety earlier this month. "We're a while away from finishing. That’s my job for all of 2026."
