Movie theaters are going to infinity and beyond with 'Toy Story' merch

June 1, 2026, 7:55 p.m. ET

Cinemas across the country are going to infinity and beyond for "Toy Story 5."

From AMC to Regal to Cinemark, an assortment of merchandise, including Buzz Lightyear-themed popcorn buckets, is coming to a theater near you on June 18, a day before the latest installment in the "Toy Story" franchise hits the silver screen.

In addition to the AMC-exclusive Buzz Lightyear Popcorn Bucket, AMC is offering moviegoers the chance to purchase a "Pixar Blind Ball Combo," which includes a small popcorn and drink, a mystery pin, and a mystery cup topper.

Like Regal and Cinemark, AMC is offering an assortment of "Toy Story 5" collectibles ahead of the June 19 premiere.

Guests may also receive a collectible Disney Lorcana trading card if they watch the film in Dolby Cinema at AMC from June 18 through June 21. Cinemark and Regal, like AMC, are also touting themed collectibles and snack combos.

"Few films evoke nostalgia quite like 'Toy Story,' and these items give fans another way to celebrate a story they've loved for decades," AMC said in a June 1 statement to USA TODAY.

Taylor Swift to drop 'Toy Story 5' track ahead of premiere

While moviegoers may be chomping at the bit to get their hands on "Toy Story 5" merch from their local theater, some might be equally as excited to learn that Taylor Swift is releasing a new track tied to the film's release.

Swift's original song titled "I Knew It, I Knew You" is set to debut weeks ahead of the "Toy Story 5" premiere, on Friday, June 5. The announcement comes weeks after Swifties first noticed that the singer's website briefly displayed a countdown featuring "Toy Story"-style clouds and a yellow timer on April 30.

Swifties later spotted billboards in Chicago, London, and Dallas featuring the franchise's signature blue-sky backdrop and the letters "TS" — initials shared by both Taylor Swift and "Toy Story." The background featured 13 white clouds, a number long associated with Swift.

On June 1, Swift's homepage featured a cartoon-style scene with a farmhouse and barn, in which fan-favorite cowgirl cartoon Jessie appears inside, confirming widespread fan speculation that Swift would participate in the film.

At the end of the countdown, three CDs popped up for fans to buy: the single, an acoustic version of the single, and a piano version. The CDs were priced at $3.99.
