Beyoncé Knowles-Carter released her Cécred hair care line two years ago today, and it has since become a reputable force in the beauty world.
Cécred launched in February 2024 with a focus on all hair types and textures. Beyoncé first teased the business venture in May 2023 in an Instagram post about growing up in her mom's hair salon.
"I saw firsthand how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls," she wrote. "I watched her heal and be of service to so many women. Having learned so much on my hair journey, I've always dreamed of carrying on her legacy."

On the brand’s two-year anniversary, we’re looking back at the milestones and evolution since its debut.
- Beyoncé released the hair care brand Feb. 20, 2026. The eight-piece collection featured a clarifying shampoo and scalp scrub, reconstructing treatment mask, hydrating shampoo, moisturizing deep conditioner, moisture-sealing lotion, nourishing hair oil, fermented rice and rose ritual treatment, and a “shaking vessel”, which mixes the ritual treatment together.
- Beyoncé graced the March/April cover of Essence Magazine the same year to promote the line.
- Cécred products became available at Ulta Beauty stores nationwide while 7,000 stylists across all 1,400+ locations were trained to offer hair services, including a scalp revival, protein treatment and hydration treatment at The Salon located inside the Ulta Beauty stores.
- Beyoncé sent the internet in a frenzy after showing off her long natural hair and her own wash day routine using Cécred hair products.
- Tina Knowles and key Cécred staff teamed up with prominent figures and celebrities including Victoria Monét and "Love Island" star Serena Page for a Cécred experience in episodes of "Who's in the Cécred Salon."
- Cécred restoring edge drops went viral for its fan testimonies and hair growth results with fans flocking to buy the product.
- The brand, in partnership with BeyGood, awarded $500,000 to 25 cosmetology students and 25 salon owners in need in its first round and has since continued the scholarship program.
- Cécred went on to win multiple awards including being named brand of the year at the 2025 Beauty Inc Awards. It also received countless industry recognition from major beauty outlets such as Allure, Cosmopolitan, ELLE, and InStyle.
