In the season premiere, titled “All Hat No Cattle,” which picks up right where Season 1 ended, Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) realizes his son Tate (Brecken Merrill) has been taken hostage and "goes rogue in a desperate race to save his son."
Meanwhile, the marshals "uncover a powerful criminal operation tied to the East Camp land grab."
"A violent showdown ensues, putting everything Kayce cares about at risk," the season premiere's logline reads.

Kayce, in the "Yellowstone" spinoff, bids goodbye to his family ranch and joins an elite unit of U.S. Marshals, "combining his skills as a cowboy and Navy SEAL to bring range justice to Montana."
Paramount+ said the series averaged 20.4 million multiplatform viewers for the first eight episodes of Season 1, proving to be a big hit for the network.

Season 2 of "Marshals" premieres Sunday, Oct. 4, at 8:30 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. PT on the CBS Television Network and can be streamed on Paramount+ for Premium plan subscribers. Paramount+ Essential subscribers can stream the episode the next day.
