‘The Lowdown’ starring Ethan Hawke premieres Sept. 23. Here's how to watch it.
FX is ushering in a new comedic thriller set in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"The Lowdown," directed by Sterlin Harjo, is a crime noir that follows Lee Raybon, played by acclaimed actor Ethan Hawke. Rayborn is a citizen journalist and self-dubbed "truthstorian" who lives in a bookstore.
In an interview on "Good Morning America," Hawke described his character as a "hot mess," adding that "he is obsessed with trying to tell our collective stories and what is the truth."

When does 'The Lowdown' premiere?

The first two episodes of "The Lowdown" will premiere on FX at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 23. The season will consist of eight episodes. Each episode will be available the next day to stream on Hulu.
The new drama series is also coming to Disney+ internationally, and it will be available via Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers, according to The Oklahoman, part of the USA TODAY Network.
