New 'Chicago Med' episodes are coming. Here's how to watch.

Updated Jan. 6, 2026, 4:05 p.m. ET

Nearly three months after airing its 200th episode, "Chicago Med" is returning with new medical mysteries, personal trials and broken bonds.

The show returns at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Jan. 7, airing first on NBC and then on Peacock and other streaming platforms the following day, Jan. 8.

Produced by NBC Universal and "Law & Order" creator Dick Wolf, "Chicago Med" is returning to complete its 11th season with 14 more episodes, according to NBC Universal.

The show is part of NBC’s "One Chicago" collection, or shows filmed and set in Chicago, including "Chicago Fire" and "Chicago P.D." NBC said the "One Chicago" shows have created jobs for more than 2,000 crew members across Illinois, supported over 5,000 small businesses and contributed nearly $2 billion to the state’s economy.

"Chicago Med" follows doctors, nurses and other medical staff as they work in a state-of-the-art trauma center in the city. A video uploaded to the "One Chicago" YouTube page on Tuesday, Jan. 6, offers viewers a glimpse into the lives of the hospital staff.

Showrunner Allen MacDonald said in a statement to USA TODAY on Jan. 6 that the theme for Season 11 and the show's characters is "time is running out."

"It is, however, most acute with Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) weighing retirement and the next chapter of his life, and Dr. Lenox (Sarah Ramos) struggling with the implications of the death sentence she received at the end of last season ... and how everything can unexpectedly change in a heartbeat… both for the better… and the worse," MacDonald said.

The finale for all three "One Chicago" shows will air in May, NBC Universal confirmed to USA TODAY.

Here’s what to know about Season 11 of "Chicago Med" and how to tune in each week.
