When does Season 4 of 'Bridgerton' come out? What to know
Saman ShafiqDearest Gentle Reader, the social event of the season is around the corner, and the ton is abuzz. Rumor has it that Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson), the marriage-evading and free-spirited second child of the Bridgerton family, has finally found his match.
Based on Julia Quinn's novels, every season of "Bridgerton" spotlights each of the eight Bridgerton siblings, and this time all eyes are on Benedict, who hates the idea of having to settle down "despite his elder and younger brothers both being happily married." But that is until he meets a captivating Lady in Silver at his mother's masquerade ball, Season 4's logline reads.
“The storyline is a bit of a twist on Cinderella," Thompson teased to Netflix Tudum. "You remember being told those stories as a child — the magic and the romance of them. It’s really exciting to have that weaved into the world that we know of Bridgerton … It’s such a great story, but it’s also, I hope, really relatable.”
Thompson earlier told USA TODAY "Benedict for the last three seasons has been a very free character, but also slightly lost sometimes."
"There's a sense of not being quite sure where he sits," Thompson said. "You have to accept that there comes a point where you have to make a choice and commit."
