Pete Davidson to launch video podcast with Netflix
Edward SegarraPete Davidson is trading in 30 Rock for a stage that's much closer to his roots.
The comedian and "Saturday Night Live" alum, who departed the sketch comedy series in 2022, is launching "The Pete Davidson Show," a video podcast with Netflix, according to a Wednesday, Jan. 14, announcement from the streamer.
The show, which will be shot primarily in Davidson's garage, is set to feature "candid, no-holds-barred conversations" between Davidson and his guests.
"Netflix was the home of one of my first stand-up specials," Davidson, 32, said in a statement. "So, it felt right to bring the podcast there, too. It's me and my friends talking about anything and everything. It's going to be a great time."

Davidson first collaborated with Netflix on the 2020 special "Pete Davidson: Alive from New York," followed by 2024's "Pete Davidson: Turbo Fonzarelli."
In 2022, the actor-comedian curated and hosted "Pete Davidson Presents: The Best Friends," a TV special part of the Netflix Is a Joke Fest.
Davidson isn't the only one from the "SNL" stable to venture into podcasting.
Bowen Yang, who left the NBC comedy series in December, cohosts the pop culture podcast "Las Culturistas" with comedian and actor Matt Rogers. The show, which launched in 2016, won a GLAAD Media Award for outstanding podcast in 2024 and spawned the awards ceremony, Las Culturistas Culture Awards.
Meanwhile, "SNL" icon Amy Poehler launched her podcast, "Good Hang with Amy Poehler," in March 2025. The series, which centers on Poehler's in-depth interviews with A-list entertainers, won a Golden Globe Award for best podcast on Sunday, Jan. 11.
