'The Madison' first look has Michelle Pfeiffer, Kurt Russell in Montana
USA TODAY has the first look at the Taylor Sheridan's "The Madison" starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell in Montana.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell are stepping out in Montana for "The Madison."
The highly anticipated TV drama from "Yellowstone" co-creator Taylor Sheridan released its first look images on Friday, Jan. 16, two months ahead of the series' March 14 premiere on Paramount+.
The modern-day drama features the TV return of Pfeiffer, 67 and Russell, 74, who both serve as executive producers. "The Madison" is described as a "heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family in the Madison River valley of central Montana."
"The Madison" centers on Pfeiffer as Stacy Clyburn, a wealthy matriarch who moves her family from New York City to Montana in the wake of a life-changing event. Russell plays Stacy's husband, Preston Clyburn.
The series, following the Clyburn family, will live in two distinct worlds – the beautiful landscape of Montana and the vibrant energy of Manhattan – "as it examines the ties that bind families together," the story summary states. Clearly, the Montana aspect is on display in the pastoral first look images in what's described as Sheridan's "most intimate work."
In addition to Pfeiffer and Russell, the series stars Beau Garrett ("Firefly Lane"), Elle Chapman ("A Man Called Otto"), Patrick J. Adams ("Suits"), Amiah Miller ("War for the Planet of the Apes"), Alaina Pollack ("The Surrender"), Ben Schnetzer ("3 Body Problem"), Kevin Zegers ("Power"), Rebecca Spence ("Lady in the Lake"), Danielle Vasinova ("1923") and Matthew Fox ("Lost").
"1883" and "Yellowstone" veteran Christina Alexandra Voros directs the series.
Specific roles and the plot have not been made clear by the mystery-loving Sheridan. Pfeiffer only addressed the news with an Instagram post when her role was announced in August, writing, "This cat's out of the bag. Excited for this! #Madison."
The series steps up as Sheridan's "Landman" Season 2 gushes to a close with the Jan. 18 finale on Paramount+, starring Billy Bob Thornton.
