Sherri Shepherd's talk show ending in latest daytime TV shake-up

Updated Feb. 3, 2026, 12:48 p.m. ET

Sherri Shepherd's talk show will end this fall after four seasons, its production company announced.

"Sherri," the actress' nationally syndicated talk show, "will continue as planned with the series airing its final episodes in the fall," according to production company and distributor Debmar-Mercury.

"This decision is driven by the evolving daytime television landscape and does not reflect on the strength of the show, its production – which has found strong creative momentum this season – or the incredibly talented Sherri Shepherd. We believe in this show and in Sherri and intend to explore alternatives for it on other platforms," co-presidents Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus said in a statement provided to USA TODAY Tuesday, Feb. 3.

USA TODAY has reached out Shepherd's rep for comment.

The talk show debuted in 2022 in the time slot vacated by "The Wendy Williams Show," after Shepherd, 58, was a frequent guest host on "Wendy" during Williams' medical leave. "Sherri" won an NAACP Image Award for outstanding talk series in 2023, while Shepherd won for outstanding host in 2025.

The forthcoming end of "Sherri" comes as "The Kelly Clarkson Show" also announces its fate. Clarkson's daytime show will end after seven seasons, with NBC announcing it was a "personal decision" by Clarkson "to step away from hosting a talk show after this season."

"This was not an easy decision — but this season will be my last," Clarkson wrote in an Instagram post on Monday, Jan. 2. "Stepping away from the daily schedule will allow me to prioritize my kids, which feels necessary and right for this chapter of our lives."

In August, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock died at 48 years old following a three-year battle with skin cancer. They had two children together: River Rose, 11, and Remy Alexander, 9.
