"General Hospital" is getting a casting shake-up.
Kate Mansi will leave the longtime soap opera after playing Kristina Corinthos Davis for three years, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed to USA TODAY on May 24.
Mansi, 38, wrapped filming in April and her final episode is expected to air in June, according to Soap Opera Network, which was first to report the news.
"I’ve made the very difficult decision to leave 'General Hospital,' " Mansi told the outlet. "I have a few new projects that require my full attention and with my husband [Matt McInnis] currently producing a series filming primarily abroad, I needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to develop and work in Los Angeles."
In her statement, Mansi thanked executive producer Frank Valentini, ABC and the "General Hospital" writers for "the care they gave" her character through the years.
"It’s been such a meaningful and unforgettable ride," she added. "I’ve loved being a fiery Corinthos-Davis girl in such a phenomenal family."

The actress also commemorated the end of her journey on "General Hospital" with a post on Instagram, in which she posed on the set in front of a sign that featured the soap's name.
"Adventure was had. Adventures ahead," she captioned the May 25 post, which also featured a photo of flowers, cards, wine and gifts that she received on her last day of filming.
Teasing more news on the horizon, Mansi added, "Tell you more June 12."
Mansi joined "General Hospital" as Kristina, the daughter of mobster Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his former attorney, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), in 2023. (Kristina was previously played by multiple actresses, including Kali Rodriguez, Lexi Ainsworth and Lindsey Morgan.)
Over her three-year tenure, she appeared in more than 200 episodes − many of which followed her character's return to Port Charles after her father's shooting and her secret LGBTQ romance with her married college professor Parker Forsyth.
Mansi also directed two episodes − one of which discussed an endometriosis diagnosis, following her own battle with the health condition in 2015 − and earned a Daytime Emmy Award nomination in 2025 for outstanding supporting actress in a drama.
In a statement to Soap Opera Network, Valentini praised Mansi's work over the last three years.
"We love Kate and support her decision to leave," he said. "The door is always open, and we appreciate all that she added to the show these past three years."
Before her run on "General Hospital," Mansi starred as Abigail Deveraux on "Days of Our Lives." She was a series regular from 2011 to 2016, and won a supporting actress Daytime Emmy in 2017.
She later returned to the show in 2018 in a recurring role, earning a Daytime Emmy nomination for outstanding guest performer in a drama in 2019, before officially departing in 2020.
