Why 'Love Island USA' stars are talking 'French fries'
A new sexual euphemism has hit the villa after "Love Island USA" Season 8 cast members Kenzie and Corbin hooked up.
The couple was shown among the matches together in bed during the Sunday, June 21, episode of the hit reality dating series. After the cast got up the next morning, Trinity entered the women's quarters to immediately address the elephant in the room.
She cheekily asked the girls who was doing "French fries," adding that she and match Bryce were convinced the sound was "not kissing."
Kenzie immediately burst out laughing. In a confessional, she said, "I was definitely getting some French fries. Feeling good. We were probably doing a bit much, honestly, but I feel a strong connection with Corbin. And we probably got a little bit carried away."
Later, Kenzie and Trinity continued to discuss the moment and if she and Bryce had tried French fries, with Trinity admitting, "There was one little French fry … just to see."
Love Island narrator Iain Stirling called it early on when he said, "I foresee that in approximately 30 seconds millions of Americans will Google: 'French fries sex?'" Fans have already debated the term, apparently agreed upon by the cast to avoid television censoring, but the reality show's viewers at least agree that it's being used in place of an intimate sexual act, given the context from the episode.

There is a history of Love Islanders across the franchise using self-created euphemisms to refer to sex acts, including Season 6 of "Love Island UK," which used foods like tomato, avocado and bread (or toast). And Season 7 of "Love Island USA" saw Cierra use the word "journey" to refer to sex with then-match Nic.
The episode also marked the start of Casa Amor, which saw the debut of a new batch of contestants. A special screening of the episode will debut in 28 select theaters in major cities nationwide on Monday, June 22.
