Ahmad Bradshaw says he's playing, his coach isn't so sure

With the New York Giants season on the line against Baltimore Sunday, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, who missed this past Sunday's blowout loss to Atlanta, vows he'll be ready to play.

He'll just have to convince his coach.

"I'm playing," Bradshaw said in an interview on ESPN's Sportscenter Tuesday. "I just have to get it through to Tom Coughlin and the training staff. As of right now, I feel like I can go and be ready Sunday."

The site reports that Coughlin wants to wait until Bradshaw is cleared by the medical staff, but after rookie David Wilson struggled against the Falcons, getting Bradshaw's 4.4 yards per carry back in the lineup would be a big boost to the Giants.

"You have to gain his trust," Bradshaw said about Coughlin. "I guess I have to do it through the week with my mental focus in meetings. Hopefully on Friday and Saturday, I can be there."
