The retailer announced on Tuesday, Sept. 16, that it will offer next-day delivery for 85% of its items in 35 new metro areas by the end of October. Target already offers same-day and next-day delivery in several markets throughout the United States.
A concept mainstreamed by Amazon Prime, more and more retailers are offering same-day and next-day delivery for customers, including Walmart, Best Buy, Costco and The Home Depot. Amazon announced earlier this year that it delivered more than 9 billion items through same-day or next-day delivery in 2024.

How much is Target's next-day delivery?
Target's next-day delivery is free for orders for $35. The service is also free, with no order minimum, for Target Circle 360 members and purchases made with a Target Circle Card.
For orders that don't fit these qualifications, next-day delivery is $5.99.
What items are eligible for Target's next-day delivery?
About 85% of Targets items are eligible for next-day delivery the retailer outlined in a news release. To check individual items, look at an item's product detail page online. Items will also be flagged as eligible for next-day delivery in the cart and checkout pages.
