'Bachelor's' Bekah Martinez shares powerful postpartum, water birth photos

Sometimes we need to take a moment to appreciate what women's bodies are capable of, especially in the midst of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum.

Former "Bachelor" contestant, Bekah Martinez is here to remind us all to love and respect our bodies especially during and following childbirth. 

Four days after giving birth to her daughter, the 23-year-old posted a photo of herself to Instagram stories wearing an adult diaper and lifting up her shirt to expose her postpartum belly.

"So amazing what we can do," the new mom captioned the photo. "I’ve never felt so much respect and love for my body, diaper and all." She hashtagged the photo #ThisIsPostPartum. 

Martinez welcomed her first child with boyfriend Grayston Leonard on Feb. 2 with a water birth. 

In the six-minute announcement video, Martinez revealed that her pregnancy was the real reason she didn't make an appearance on the summer spinoff show "Bachelor in Paradise." 

"I've wanted to be a mom my whole life," she said in the video. "This is what I've always wanted, and I don't care what the circumstances are – this is gonna work. And that's how I felt from the start."

Martinez went public with her relationship with Leonard on Instagram last July after months of dating.
