This story is for a certain segment of the TV population.

You know you who are: Those of you who have watched Lisa Robertson on QVC for the past 20 years.

She is one of the most popular hosts on the channel, so popular that earlier this year The Daily Mail wrote that she has had to contend with four stalkers.

On Friday, Robertson, 48, who has dominated the fashion shows on QVC, announced that she is quitting the shopping channel on Dec. 12.

So far there are 34 pages of fan notes on her QVC blog, wishing her well, such as this one:
"Lisa, I am crying as I type this. QVC will not be the same without you. Yes, there are many other great hosts, and a few that I love to pieces, but none more than you. You are the 'Glamor Girl' of QVC, but also so smart and funny. You have been my favorite from the very beginning."
And on Twitter, the reactions are similar.

In her blog post, titled "I Think it's Time for a New Adventure," Robertson says she did a "lot of soul-searching" about the decision.
"It is time for a new challenge and a new adventure. Although it is a little scary to leave what you have always known, I am very excited about what lays ahead."
She doesn't mention exactly what that is.

And she thanked fans.
"You have brightened my darker times and been there when I needed a smile, and I hope that we can continue to do that for each other in the years to come."
Good luck, Lisa. Keep us posted on wherever you and your White Mountain boots land.
