Mindy Kaling's 'honored' to have been mistaken for 17-year-old activist

Mindy Kaling is a 35-year-old Indian TV writer and star. Malala Yousafzai is a 17-year-old Pakistani activist and Nobel Prize recipient. One man mistook Kaling for Yousafzai.

As The New York Times reports, Kaling was approached by "a tipsy man in his 80s" at The New Yorker Festival:
The man "showered her with compliments, apparently mistaking her for Malala Yousafzai. 'Congratulations on your Nobel Prize,' he said, before expressing wonder at how well she had recovered from Taliban gunshots."
After the exchange, Kaling said, "That's the best thing that's happened all night."
