If you wanted an Ava DuVernay Barbie and you didn't purchase one yet, it's not looking good for you. Here's a look at how the fewer-than-one-thousand dolls created in the Selma filmmaker's likeness sold out immediately.

As of 1PM/10AM ET/PT Monday, the Barbie was available online.
People had been waiting.
But...several minutes later, the Platinum Label collector's edition doll was "No longer available" on the Barbie Collection website:

Yep, Mattel confirmed that the doll officially sold out on the site.
So, a few hours later, Mattel shared another link, on Amazon, for purchasing the Ava Barbie:
However, the doll was "Currently unavailable" on that link, too. It sold out within the hour.

Since then, the doll has been popping up for way more than the its original $65 price on eBay.
