5 things to remember about ‘Orange is the New Black’ season 3

It’s almost time to return to Litchfield, guys.
Season 4 of Orange is the New Black hits Netflix on Friday, so get your binge-watching calendars ready. If it’s been awhile since you watched the third season, fear not, we can help. Here are the five biggest things you need to remember before you spend some time with Piper, Crazy Eyes, Taystee, Red and friends.
1. There are a lot of new inmates coming to Litchfield

Remember those bunk beds and rows of women in orange uniforms streaming into the prison at the end of last season while our faves frolicked in a pond? Yeah. It seems that the privatized prison is going for a much bigger profit by what looks like doubling the number of inmates housed at Litch. We’re sure this will only cause happy, fun times, right?
2. One of them is famous

TV chef Judy King (played by Blair Brown) is spending her sentence at Litchfield, another red-headed chef in the mix. We’re sure that will also go over really well.
3. Which is great, because the prison staff is in chaos

We’ve got new guards who have no idea what they’re doing, who left part of the fence down and failed to protect Sophia (more on her below) from a violent hate crime. Oh and also there’s the one who raped Pennsatucky. She escaped, but now Maritza took over the job that requires being in a car with him. And we are scared.
4. Sophia is still in the SHU

Last we saw Laverne Cox’s character, she was being escorted to solitary for “her own protection” after she was attacked by some inmates. She’s still there, despite the half-hearted efforts of Caputo and friends. But she better not be for long.
5. Piper is still the worst

Yup, we can confirm. After throwing her lover/business partner Stella under the bus, becoming a crime boss and potentially putting Alex in life-threatening danger, she gave herself an infinity tattoo. Because she is the worst.
