Jimmy Kimmel gets Matt Damon to surprise Idina Menzel (again)

Everybody loves Wicked. Even Matt Damon. He swears.

Jimmy Kimmel was able to use his feud/bromance with Damon to put Idina Menzel's mind at ease. It turns out the Frozen actress, who won a Tony award for her performance of Elphaba in the original Broadway cast of the musical, used to have a crush on Damon, and when he came to see the show and came backstage to meet the cast, he did not seem overwhelmingly excited.

“Finally he came, and he came backstage and I got the green makeup off. He looked like he hated Wicked,” Menzel told Kimmel when she stopped by his show. “He just seemed so bored by it.”

But don't worry, Kimmel had a solution. And that's to bring Damon in on video to assure Menzel that he did, in fact, love Wicked and her in it.

He had more to say, but of course, Kimmel can never let him have the upper hand.
