Will Smith and Joel Edgerton are clashing cops in action-packed 'Bright' trailer

If the future looks Bright for Will Smith and Joel Edgerton, it's only thanks to the gleam of a mysterious, magic wand.

It's perilous times for Smith (Ward) and Edgerton (Jakoby) who portray cops in the Netflix original film dropping Dec. 22, which debuted its second official trailer on Wednesday.

The two clash as partners. Ward is a human while Jakoby is an orc, a factor that appears to add friction to their relationship.

However, the duo have to set their differences aside, as seen in the action-packed, NSFW trailer, when a relic is discovered that would be incredibly destructive if it fell into evil hands. 

"It's like a nuclear weapon that grants wishes," the trailer explains.

The fantasy film directed by David Ayer (Suicide Squad and Fury) also features Jay Hernandez, Ike Barinholtz, Lucy Fry, Édgar Ramírez and Kenneth Choi.
