Starbucks is selling a weighted vest. Here’s how to get one

Coffee giant Starbucks is stepping further into fitness culture with the launch of a limited-edition weighted vest tied to its newest protein-focused beverage.

The company announced the Starbucks Weighted Vest in partnership with Kahlana Barfield Brown, founder of fashion and lifestyle brand KBB by Kahlana. The vest launch accompanies Starbucks’ new ready-to-drink Starbucks Coffee & Protein beverage, which contains 22 grams of complete protein.

What is the Starbucks weighted vest?

The coffee chain partnered with Kahlana Barfield Brown to create a branded weighted vest tied to the launch of its new Starbucks Coffee & Protein beverage.

According to the company, the vest was inspired by growing interest in weighted vests across social media and was designed to blend movement and style. Starbucks said the vest features a custom silhouette, includes 5 pounds of customizable weights for resistance training and contains a dedicated pocket designed to hold a ready-to-drink Starbucks Coffee & Protein beverage.

How much does the Starbucks weighted vest cost?

The vest will cost $22, a reference to the 22 grams of protein included in each bottle of Starbucks Coffee & Protein, according to the company.

When does the Starbucks weighted vest go on sale?

The limited-edition vest becomes available May 21 at 3 p.m. ET through the KBB website while supplies last.

What is in Starbucks’ new Coffee & Protein drink?

Starbucks said the new bottled beverage contains:

  • 22 grams of complete protein
  • 5 grams of prebiotic fiber
  • 5 vitamins and minerals
  • 2 grams of sugar

The company said the drink combines Starbucks coffee with added nutritional benefits in a ready-to-drink format.

What is the Starbucks and Strava challenge?

Starbucks is also partnering with Strava on a fitness challenge tied to the launch of its new Coffee & Protein beverage and weighted vest.

From May 21 through June 18, new and existing Strava users can participate in the Starbucks Coffee & Protein Level Up Strava Challenge by walking or running for 22 minutes a day for at least 10 days.

Participants who opt in through the Strava app and complete the challenge will be entered for a chance to win a limited-edition Starbucks Weighted Vest.

According to the official rules, no purchase is necessary to enter. The sweepstakes is open to residents of the 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C., who are 18 or older. To enter, please visit starbucksproteinlevelup.com.
