Wedding day takes a turn as maid of honor goes into labor

A joyful bride had no idea her wedding day would end with a trip to the labor and delivery unit.

Skye's rehearsal dinner the night before had gone off without a hitch, but at 1:30 a.m. — just hours before she and her groom were set to walk down the aisle — her maid of honor’s water broke.

That meant Hannah, her bestie, would not be joining her at the altar, but Skye was determined that both of them would share in their big day.

So immediately after the ceremony, Skye and the entire wedding party piled onto the party bus and went to the hospital instead of the wedding reception — surprising Hannah during the final hours before she welcomed her baby.
