Queen Latifah touts her show at the upfronts in New York on June 5.

"Q the fun!" says Queen Latifah.

The hype machine is rolling and the first promos for her new talk show have just been released to let us know The Queen Latifah Show debuts Sept. 16.

The hour-long, daily syndicated show promises a mix of celebrity interviews, human-interest stories, musical performances and Queen Latifah's "comedic take" on pop culture.

In other words, she's going to try to give Ellen DeGeneres and Wendy Williams a run for their money.

But Latifah, 43, also plans to take "journeys outside her studio" and will "venture into communities across the country to share compelling stories, celebrate exceptional individuals and deliver life-changing surprises."

The program will be taped in front of a live studio audience at Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, and will air on CBS owned-and-operated channels.
